Parish News

A warm welcome to everyone. Tea and coffee are served after the 10.00am Mass on Sundays and the 09.30 Mass on Wednesdays; all are invited to join us. Father Alex offers a warm welcome to anyone who is visiting the parish this week.

Clergy Thoughts: The 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time Year A reminds us that faith is lived in relationship with others. God does not call us to walk alone. We are asked to care for one another, to guide each other, and to live in love. These readings show how warning, correction, and forgiveness are all part of belonging to God’s people. For God calls His people to care for one another. As Jesus is present when we gather in His name, may we be a sister and a brother to others. Amen! Fr Alex

Confirmation: All children aged 11 years old and above including adults who have received their First Holy Communion are eligible to register for the Sacrament of Confirmation Programme 2026-27.

Please pick up a form at the Community Room. Deadline of registration:  Sunday, 27.9.26.

Assisted Suicide. A bid to change the law on assisted suicide has been reintroduced to the House of Commons. The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill will have its Second Reading and vote on Friday 11th September 2026. Please write to our MP Terry Jermy to express your opposition to this bill!

World Map with flags. We welcome every parishioner from every corner of the world.  We have a World Map hanging on the wall in the community room to the right of the entrance to the church. There are flags to pin onto this on the entrance table for parishioners to mark the country they may like to consider an origin

Holy Trinity Parish Golden Jubilee celebration on Sunday 27th September.

We are progressing well with plans for our Holy Trinity Parish celebration of our diocesan Golden Jubilee.  Mass at 11am on this day will be followed by International Finger Food. Please could parishioners bring a plate of food to share in the community room. We will be serving soft drinks and tea and coffee from the kitchen.

Parents and Grandparents

We have been working very hard trying to engage the children in various activities, but this is only possible with your help. In the run up to the Jubilee celebration mass, we are asking that all children can attend the Sunday morning masses in order for the planned activities to be able to take place. These include a time capsule, contribution and helping to write a children's prayer and learning a song to perform at the Jubilee mass this will require the children to stay behind after the Sunday mass for no longer than 10mins.Informationsheets are available in the meeting room. Please take one and help us make it possible. Helen, Jeryln and Lilian.
