A warm welcome to everyone. Tea and coffee are served after the 10.00am Mass on Sundays and the 09.30 Mass on Wednesdays; all are invited to join us. Father Alex offers a warm welcome to anyone who is visiting the parish this week.
Clergy Thoughts: On 14th Sunday Year A, the Church invites us to reflect on Jesus’ humility and his option for the poor. These virtues are essential for our Christian journey. Poverty humbles one, especially when it is freely “chosen” for the sake of the kingdom of God and in imitation of Christ. Today, Jesus beckons us: “Come to me all who labour and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest.” This invitation is for the simple and humble of heart who recognize their need for God’s intervention. It is for those who shoulder the burden of their family, marriage, community, and nation. It is for those ready to submit and surrender all to Christ. May he be our Lord and King! Amen. Fr Alex
Please pray for the repose souls of Francis Baxter and Michael Worsley who died recently.

March for Life with Bishop Peter on Saturday 5th September in London. Since the 1967 Abortion Act was implemented, over 10.6 million lives have been tragically ended in the womb in the UK. Each one of these was a unique, irreplaceable human being worthy of life and love. The March for Life is more than a march; the day starts with an indoor family festival with talks, music, testimonies, prayer and much more for all ages. We will then unite with thousands of others as we process through the streets of London to Parliament Square to witness to our central message of 'Life from Conception - No Exception!' For more information: marchforlife.co.uk If you are planning on making your own way there, please contact Antonia Braithwaite who will put you in touch with the group from East Anglia: mflcoordinator@rcdea.org.uk

Knitters Aware
Here at Stella Maris, we provide Chaplaincy care for all those who work at sea. We need some keen knitters to assist us in this mission, by knitting woolly hats which can then be given to the seafarers and fisherman we minister to. There is absolutely no preference in colour or style. Please help us support these workers in their industry. Collection from your home address can be made or any postage fees covered. If you can assist, please let me know. Many Thanks, Deacon Rick Jones, Port Chaplain to East Anglia,
Please support the foodbank, please see the food list in porch.
